Counting our Blessings

We have been so blessed with our recent wonderful weather.   Our guests have been swimming, sunning themselves, or taking a ride in our canoe or rowboat.   Some have walked our nature trail or found a spot to read, either in the hammock, in the chairs by the lake or in the glider on our new stair deck.

The recent rains have made everything so green and lush.   The rains did cause some “gully-washers” that left significant ruts in our driveway, but they should be repaired in the next week.

Another blessing is the quality of the guests who stay with us.   They all respect each other’s privacy, and welcome the time that they can get to know each other and share experiences.   Recently one of our guests, Doug, brought his guitar and encouraged everyone to join him in a sing-a-long.   And then another guest, Ron, led us all in a French drinking song.   It was a wonderful experience and we all loved it.   When different personalities feel comfortable in sharing their gifts, the warmth we all receive is priceless.
